Post "Accelerate": Why are we still failing at adopting DevOps in the Enterprise?

slides:none on file

24 years of agile and 17 of DevOps and six years after "Accelerate" enterprises still copy their silos into systems, creating silo DevOps groups, cloud centers of excellence and then platform engineering departments that produce platforms nobody asked for. Outsourcing, ITIL, tickets and enterprise architecture keep teams separate, so adopting microservices or "you build it you run it" fails in practice. The proposed change is to dissolve IT silos and form feature teams as the business able to ideate, build and operate end-to-end.
