Raffles and Prizes
summary
A run of vendor raffles gives away tangible prizes and one big number: dozens of items claimed onstage including Amazon Echo Alexa, multiple Nintendo Switches, AirPods, Lego sets and a $2,500 travel credit for future DevOpsDays. Winners are chosen by a random-number draw and physical ticket checks with some missing winners resolved via Slack and on-the-spot volunteers. The process scales across many booths, most prizes find recipients and a few require follow-up.
