Community interview
summary
Local Kotlin community grows from a tiny group to 1,300 members in three years with the largest jump when Google's Android support drove overnight growth. Organizing relies on Meetup.com, venues increasingly offered by companies, and coordination via Google Calendar + shared spreadsheets. Ongoing problems are sourcing reliable speakers, finding venues, language barriers in Berlin, and weak cross‑meetup frameworks; Codemotion functions mainly as a networking venue to recruit speakers and promote local events.
