Integration of OpenTelemetry protocol into Apache Cassandra enables exporting traces, metrics and logs to Datadog, Honeycomb and CloudWatch from a 3-node Kubernetes deployment with per-node sidecar collectors and a central collector. Changes are small: add a native-protocol header and TRContext message to propagate tracing context, hook the metrics registry to pull JMX metrics, and add a one-line Logback adapter to emit logs. Demo works end-to-end, code on GitHub, sampling configurable; no formal perf study yet.
