Welcome + Opening Remarks
summary
BackstageCon opens with concrete milestones: the project reports 13,000 members across 52 countries, more than 150 plugins and about 1,500 serial contributors. Release 1.24 ships security by default; upcoming features include runtime dynamic plugins and a new notification backend. A centralized community plugin repository and SIGs aim to standardize publishing and onboarding, and an attendee survey collects adoption pain points and usage telemetry to guide the roadmap.
