Transcoding self worth into elegant software
summary
A narrative links a painful gender transition to growing self‑worth and measurable engineering outcomes: becoming a Kubernetes maintainer, coauthoring Cloud Native Infrastructure, releasing Kubicorn (hits number one on GitHub trending), and writing a small utility kSSH with roughly four downloads. It traces a move from reactive PHP to Python Bash and Go, shows code written for a friend that actually gets used, and cites companies forming products around donated open source.
